Columbia Coatings 1508 Non-Phosphate Conversion Coating is a unique combination of polymers and acid salts that does not contain any regulated heavy metals, organic accelerators, or phosphates.  Columbia Coatings 1508 Non-Phosphate Conversion Coating helps produce high quality parts through superior salt fog resistance and paint adhesion while reducing the environmental footprint of the pretreatment line.

Use at 1.0 – 3.0% concentration at ambient temperature with a minimum 45 – 65 seconds application time. Lower concentrations require longer contact time. Higher concentrations (in excess of 3.0%) can cause flash rusting. Solution pH should be maintained above 3.0. Rinsing is not required, however, parts should not be allowed to drip-dry. Blow off your parts after application, and finish drying in a preheated oven.
